Small-group Bible studies to meet your needs

Do you feel a need to go deeper into God’s Word? Let your tour of the Bible begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday mornings. We have small-group classes for toddlers, children, youth and adults. We have adult classes for singles, classes for women only, couples classes and more. See the list of possibilities at the end of this article.

Teachers at FBC use many kinds of faith-based literature, including the Lifeway series and Right Now Media. Some simply use the Bible as their textbook. We encourage you to visit several groups until you connect with one of them. That’s the class where you will get the most out of your study of the Bible.

In addition to Sunday morning studies, we have a Bible study group that meets Monday nights and a women’s Bible study that meets on the second and fourth Tuesday mornings in the home of one of our members. Sometimes other church members will host a short-term Bible study in their homes, too.

We hope you will stay after class on Sunday mornings for our worship service at 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary of our Worship Center. We could describe our worship style as a blend of traditional and contemporary, but we hope you’ll come see for yourself. For a preview, CLICK HERE to “attend” a service virtually on YouTube.

Key components of our Sunday morning worship hour are Pastor’s Pals and Children’s Church. Bring your children into the main service in the Sanctuary.  Pre-K through second-grade will go to Children’s Church after Pastor’s Pals, a mini-sermon at a child’s level. Third-graders and above will remain in the service with their parents.

On Sunday nights we have a Prayer Meeting at 5 p.m. in Sanctuary.

Join us for supper at 5 p.m. on Wednesday nights in the Fellowship Hall. That’s located on the ground floor of our Worship Center, under the Sanctuary. Reservations are preferred, but we don’t mind you popping in once or twice before signing up. The cost is $7 for adults, and $5 for children 12 and under. Your cost won’t exceed $30, regardless of the number of children in your family.

At 6 p.m. on Wednesdays we have programs for adults, youth and children. Adults are welcome in our Wednesday night Bible study with traditional hymns, which takes place in the Sanctuary.  We have several other small group studies at the same time, including one for pre-K , one for kindergarteners, one for grades 1-3, another for grades 4, 5 and 6, and still another for youth in grades 7-12. All but the adults meet in their Sunday School rooms. A nursery is available for babies and toddlers Wednesday nights, too. Adult choir practice starts at 7 p.m. Wednesdays on the first floor of the Worship Center.

Regardless of your age or church background, we think you’ll find a meaningful place to plug in at FBC that will meet your spiritual needs. From bed babies to gramma and gramps,  everyone has a place at FBC-Ashville.
